I've been thinking that it's like the parallel world from The Secret Saturdays. The other reality is twisted, but not necessarily a polar opposite to this one.

I think the same might go for the Dark Swat Kats' universe.

It would have been even weirder if they made him some version of a Swat Kat in that universe. Maybe paired up with Dr. Viper.

Sorry I haven't posted for a little while--I've recently gotten into Cave Story, and I'm trying to unlock the best ending. < <;

So, after doing the Dark Swat Kats, I thought about making a version of Chase for that world...but I decided to do that later, and make something sorta important instead.
Image
A side view head! 8D
...It'll probably mainly work for a walking animation, but at least it's there. ^ ^;
Does it look like it matches the normal angle?

Also, I'm having a little bit of a debate with myself, trying to figure out a battle stance for Tina--since Tina's an archer, I probably don't have to think so hard, but I don't really want to base it totally on one of the Archers from TotW3.(meaning Chester, Frio and Kyaro, Chelsea, and Nanaly)
Any suggestions on this?

*Edit*
I guess I'm best leaving stance problems to myself...sorry about that guys. :<

Image
I really hate the rotations on this, but I guess that's because I'm pretty bad at them. < <;

I guess a side view head isn't much to like, is it? ^ ^;
And I guess those bad rotations really are horrible.
...I'll probably start leaving that to someone else. < <;
Image
But, is this any better? It's supposed to be the Sword Chase modified to have a beam aura feature...but I haven't implemented the beam aura yet.
..Not to mention no rotations. I'm horrible at them. :<
Speaking of which, I'm trying to come up with a decent name for it--off the top of my head, I got 'Lasting Aura'.
...Sounds more like a Lucario attack to me though. X3

Still, I tried MMZX(Mega Man ZX)style a little while ago, and guess what I found out?
...That I can't figure it out. XD
So, I thought that to experiment a little bit, I'd combine Tales style with ZX style, and got this.
Image
I don't consider it perfect, but I find it better than what I had before.*Especially since his arm looks fat in the first sprite...I may need to tinker with that.* ^ ^;
It'll at least make a good placeholder for a future attempt though, I guess.

Thanks RL, if I can fine tune that platformer style, I might try using it in a game someday. ^w^

By the way, I've got another outfit for Chance.
Image

It's from one of Raphaella's SK drawings, depicting Chance wearing this coat.
I've sent him/her an email asking if it was alright to use it, and if I get yes as a reply, I'll be sure to mark this outfit, and DW's one as well. ^ ^;

By the by, does anyone have any ideas for a Winter type outfit for Jake?
So far, Chase and Chance have one, but I'm in a bit of a rut with one for our favorite technician.

Well, Raphaella said it was alright, so by the next update, I'll have that outfit labeled--same for the one I borrowed from DW. ^w^;

Until then though, if there's any Tales fans around...

I attempted to downsize Reid to fit ToVS style, but there's probably a few things wonky.
The palette is a definite, so I need to work on that. < <;

I guess the Tales series isn't everyone's glass of milk...sorry, I've been posting a good bit about it lately. < <;

This is the last one for now though, at least until I can get something Swat Kats related done. ^ ^;
It's an edit of Shing's sprites from ToVS.

are they anime or a video game series? I used to be a gamer years ago when play station was still new.

The Tales series is a series of video games(but some of the games had an OVA or a few, while Abyss had an anime)that use a real time system called Linear Motion Battle System.*LMBS for shorts*
I'd go into detail, but I think that would be a really long post that would belong elsewhere. ^ ^;
I will say though that each Tales game has had a slightly different take on the system, allowing for somewhat different play in each game.
But one thing that's interesting, is that a game called Keroro RPG uses the LMBS battle system with Sgt. Frog(Keroro Gunso)characters.

Didn't mean to come across as a Nerd, sorry. > <;
...I'm not sure what else to say--I'm worried I'm coming across as rude. - -;

But uh, the next SK character I'll be doing is a rather sinister guy--but who wouldn't be after being trapped in a Jack-in-the box for ages? X3

Sorry for the nerdyness, not to mention the lack of MadKat, but I'll be working on him tomorrow with whatever time I've got. ^ ^;

Until then if anyone's interested, I've made a slight update to Shing's sheet, and made an edit of Caius ToVS.(On the bottom)

...The reason I said earlier about 'whatever time I have', is that we have a Teen activity tomorrow night at 5:00, so depending on how tired/wet I am, I might be able to finish part of him. ^ ^;

Well, after fooling around a bit, I managed to make a new head to use for Shing--something I'm proud of myself for, considering I'm rather bad with that, even if it still looks iffy. ^w^;
Image
Also, I slightly redesigned Sherril's top, even starting on a victory animation.*And a costume*
Image
The finger waggle is supposed to be the end of it, but since I did it first, I'll probably re-do the hands a bit later on.*I just need to motivate myself to try custom animations--which still intimidates me a bit.*

Speaking of which, I tried making a bow pose for Tina, but...
Image
The left hand(her right)blends in too much with her pony tail.
Any suggestions? Maybe even tips on the bow?

...Seriously though, I gotta get onto Mad Kat/Lenny Ringtail soon so I can upload at least one villain. < <;

Well the easiest idea for the hand blending, would have her wear gloves when she shoots, to protect her fingers. Though I'm thinking you could also just add a layer of black pixels around her hand, to help sepate the hand from the hair as well.

@Cody:
That could work--thanks for the idea, I'll fool around with it and see how it turns out. :3

*Edit*
Okay, so I'm still procrastinating on Mad Kat...I can't help it, Shing has literally taken over. DX
Image
This update includes Defend, Hurt, and NFV*Or getting up--but it'd also be for the victory screen if he's downed when the fight is over*.

...Now tomorrow, I promise I'm going to sit in this chair, get some good reference of that Jester, and get to work--I've been meaning to work on him, but I always go to Shing instead. XD

Okay, so...thanks to LGameTales on the Tales forum, I was able to work on Shing's walk animation.
Image
It looks a bit jerky in places, but I was personally rushing to at least finish this somewhat before my surgery. :<
I'll make the necessary changes when I get well enough, but if you notice anything off, feel free to say so.
